Segunda función de los mejores cortometrajes nacionales del Festival Internacional de Cine Shorts Costa Rica.

1. Asedio (2021) – Adriana Marín Leandro.
   Asedio es una propuesta que reúne el video con el baile flamenco y la música en una videodanza que busca indagar en temas relacionados a la complejidad de la psiquis humana y la forma en la que construimos relaciones interpersonales basadas en el poder. Se utiliza el lenguaje que brinda la música y el baile flamenco tradicional y se fusiona con elementos propios de nuestra territorialidad americana y la música académica contemporánea.
2. SJO (2022) – Pablo David Aguilar, Juan Carlos Romero.
   When there’s nothing good on TV, go take a walk around the city.
3. Fuga y Libertad (2023) – Joseph Vargas.
   Exploration of human suffering and its cause through a personal perspective told from a trip through the third world.
4. Warta (2022) – Diego Gutierrez Valladares, Roberto Niño Betancourt.
   Poetic experimental documentary that explores the different scales of the ecosystem that surrounds the Warta River, as it passes through the city of Poznan.
5. Distantes EP 1: Fracaso – Leda Artavia.
   She moves vigorously, clumsily, angry, in pain. The water has entered, she would like to stop it, she calculates its transit, covers the holes but everything begins to float, it vanishes before her eyes. He fights, he clings but the water is denser now, even if he wanted to rescue his belongings, everything must be washed. The water keeps rising, she lets herself go.
6. 7-III (2021) – Aimée Joaristi.
   Aimée Joaristi, born in Cuba, is a multidisciplinary artist who explores themes related to unconsciousness, playful transgression, Cuban migration, and female vindication in her recent works. From painting and installation, to performance and video art, multiple media are conceived as one more channel of communication for those messages that are born from intuition and self-exploration.
7. Reflejo Ancestral (2022) – Nicoa Rios Chaves.
   Journey in search of our ancestors.
8. Bipolar (2022) Santiago Salas Castro.
   The video, like the lyrics, is basically a bunch of extreme swings of ideas, antonyms, and situations. There´s no actual plot nor meaning to what´s said or shown, just a completely interpretative selection of phrases and images for the audience to take part in.
