    Primer función de los mejores cortometrajes nacionales del Festival Internacional de Cine Shorts Costa Rica.

    1. Alunizaje (2020) – Melany Mora.
      Nel Astro is a 10-year-old aspiring astronaut who wants to fly to the moon. Aiming for the stars, he ventures into a mission to get to the highest place of a local funfair before the day ends. But this could be quite an odyssey for a human being that moves at a quarter speed than the others.
    2. Las esquinas y otras cosas que se van (2023) – Luis Diego Pérez.
      Agustín, a lonely 70-year-old man with a serious heart problem, receives an unexpected invitation to participate in a reunion game for retired Costa Rican baseball players. As the game date approaches, Agustin must decide whether or not to ignore his health condition to play the game.
    3. Cleo & Nina (2021) – Manrique Cortes Castro.
      Sara is 5 years old and loves the stories of her grandmother, Nina. Due to the pandemic, they have not seen each other in a long time. Sara constantly asks her mother to call Nina to hear «the best stories in the world.» The short film is an animated documentary that illustrates the telephone conversation in which Nina tells Sara the story of Cleo, her pet pig when she was a child.
    4. White Nails (2018) – Juan Manuel Arteaga Sáenz.
      An observational documentary about a group of friends sharing a holiday house in a Greek island.
    5. El Secuestro (2019) – Carlos Soto.
      A student who fell asleep while working on a college project gets his sleep disturbed by the sound of something cracking. He will not like what happens when he goes to check it out.
    6. N!CE COUPLE (2023) – N!CE COUPLE.
      From a virtual space, two young people seek connection in the middle of a city confined during the pandemic. Subject to the exposure of their private acts through technology, they build a private universe that keeps them attracted to each other from their safe bubbles.The fantasy of a first meeting poses a reality that will awaken ambiguous feelings,heading towards an unexpected ending. The loss of illusion, the idealized sexual desire and the idea of post-romantic love in the city of San José, Costa Rica.
    7. Carmona (2020) – Juan Manuel Solano.
      An artisanal fisherman and diver recounts his life in relation to the sea, before retiring and after forty years of clandestinely submerging himself in the waters of the Pacific. Pausing to reflect on his dreams and the situation in which he lives, he will refer to universal themes such as fear, love and uncertainty.
    8. Fast Forward (2023) – Monica Araya.
      Monica rediscovers her identity after exploring her relationship with her family, creating a dialogue between the past and the present.
    9. Sangre y ceniza (2022) – Kenneth Sanabria.
      In a small mountain house, under the law of the Christian Holy Family, a mother and her two children live in confinement forced by her husband. But after a failed suicide attempt, the mother is forced to include her children in a new escape plan.
